GEORGIA SENATORS
The Underrated Election You NEED to be Informed About
Johnny Isakson
Johnny Isakson is running for what would be his 10th year as a Senator. He says that shutting down the government is not the way to solve problems. The US government has tried that before, and it simply does not work. Isakson prioritizes several issues that need to be fixed, including:
1. Budgeting and Procreating Bills
2. Tax Codes
3. Defense Policy
Isakson's defensive policy to eradicate ISIS:
Containment does not work. He believes we need to root ISIS out of the middle east. We must use other middle eastern countries to eliminate ISIS.
Isakson's Opinions on Trade Deals:
Trade Deal Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP)- Isakson believes the TPP is the greatest way to contain China- He supports this trade deal. He states that he is “For jobs, for opportunity, for Georgia- good trade and enforceable trade”
Commitment to alliances- He believes NATO is an important part of national defense; however, other countries must contribute more (both in man-power and money). Isakson believes that the US has put in too much money and too many troops on behalf of other countries.

Jim Barksdale
“When income inequality reaches what it is today, capitalism does not work.”
Jim Barksdale is a supporter of capitalism and is commonly misrepresented by the media.
He believes all income is going to the top percentage of American workers and wages are declining.
In order for capitalism to work, Barksdale claims we must reduce income inequality.
"We cannot have an economy that grows with decreasing wages."
In response to his opponent's (Johnny Isakson) reputation, Jim Barksdale also believes that a politician having been in the senate for a long period of time puts the citizens in more danger because they continue to agree with radical decisions and policies.
Barksdale opposed the Iraq war.
He believes we haven’t been investing in this country.
